Original Sin

Original Sin

Stained and tainted

by the mark of the original sin

carried over by the breaths

of the thousand generations

splintered and spliced into million souls

rebirth, reborn and regenerated

the pain mold and morphed into multitudes

but nobody gets bothered

by the triteness of the truth

carried and rebirth over the same tongue

passed over from generation to generation

the truth taste different on my soul

hunger has its own definition

tear has a varied taste

a distinct trail on every soul

even the rope going back and forth

leaves a separate mark on that blind well

in my courtyard

we all have taken a different journey

we are all destined for a different destination

our pain stemmed from

the same source

all stained by the original sin.

  1. You've captured the oneness and difference in religious views in such a way within this piece. You've also captured that haunting truth that we're all corrupted. Even perverted by our own origins in the same way. A somber, but powerful piece.
