The Constant Variable

The Constant Variable

How the fear of the unknown

births in the corner of my heart

Does the burning candle know its destiny?

Does the kite flying soaring high in the skies

knows that exact moment it will face the ground

or does the fish fear for the brutal face of the lands

We cannot live vying for the love, the sun has for its earth

our trivial minds compare our trivial existence

to this celestial passion living for the time eternal

Do the stars know their last shine before

succumbing to the eternal darkness

Unknown is the only certainty

in our mortal lives.

Breaths do not come in pairs and you get caught

in its perpetuity but the faithful succession will

stop eventually.

We are living in the world of unknowns.
